An exquisite antique Scottish bracelet from the mid Victorian era consisting of eight barrel agate links, interspersed with chequered agate squares. Each agate is unique and boasts various earthy colours and patterned layers which are naturally formed.
Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.
It’s beautifully put together and held by engraved 15ct gold settings and a box clasp at the end.
