A fabulous Antique Suffragette ring modelled in 18ct Yellow Gold and set with green Peridots, sparkling Diamonds and a central violet Amethyst.
Together the colours of each stone pay tribute to the women’s Suffragette movement which took place in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which symbolised: Purple for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The gallery features lovely engraved patterning across the side and shoulders and within the shank clear hallmarks can be found along with the names ‘Nellie & Harry’, possibly the name of a previous owner and their partner.
It’s a wonderful piece of history and looks beautiful on the finger.
